The announcement was made during Opening Night Live, and Ubisoft confirmed that the project is planned for PC as well as current-generation consoles from Sony and Microsoft. While the remake is positioned as a full return of the series’ most popular entry, the company did not include Nintendo Switch 2 support—something the community has reacted to negatively.

What Ubisoft says is included

Ubisoft’s description emphasizes that the remake will retain the core Heroes of Might and Magic 3 experience while rebuilding key elements for modern visuals and presentation. The pitch includes nine playable factions, each with its own gameplay style and fantasy creatures.

Beyond standard exploration and progression loops—gathering resources and artifacts, growing cities, and shaping heroes and armies—Ubisoft also highlights campaign upgrades. Ubisoft says the original campaigns will return with a “new prologue, epilogue, and cinematic scenes,” paired with improved graphics, refreshed animations, and updated audio.

The remake is also said to launch alongside the game’s two expansions, with those expansions rebuilt in detail in 3D and 4K.

More gameplay coverage

In addition to the announcement, Ubisoft released a new gameplay-focused video for Heroes of Might and Magic 3 Remake. The clip runs for nearly 10 minutes and is intended to show how the remake approaches its updated visuals and campaign content.

With no launch date provided yet, players looking to track the project can add it to their wishlist on Steam while they wait for further updates.
