Marvel Rivals Patch Adds Thebes Map and Expands Blood Hunt Progression
Developer update for Marvel Rivals brings fresh battleground energy with a new location for superhero showdowns, while also expanding the game’s ongoing Blood Hunt mode with additional progression options and higher-end challenges. The update adds Thebes as a new map, setting players between two major landmarks—Apocalypse’s Pyramid and the Temple of Khonshu—designed for the kind of large, back-and-forth fights the game is built around.
Thebes joins the roster as a new arena for multiplayer matches, giving players another place to contest control amid big set-piece map points rather than a focus on anything like building or base management. For players who are more invested in the game’s vampiric storyline, the Blood Hunt experience continues to evolve as well.
Blood Hunt receives a set of systems updates aimed at improving gear progression and flexibility. The patch includes new gear enhancement and gear refining features, with refining adding the ability to reroll specific stats. It also introduces a new drop called the Dew of Insight, which grants a burst of EX to any character.
Difficulty and long-term goals are also pushed further. A new Nightmare Difficulty cap raises the ceiling to Floor 300, and clearing Floor 260 once per hero comes with a special bounty. In addition to the Blood Hunt changes, the update adds new esports features, introduces new costume bundles in the in-game store, and applies a range of balance changes.
