Hell Let Loose Vietnam Crossplay Playtest Adds Đắk Tô Airfield

Hell Let Loose Vietnam is running a crossplay playtest this weekend, letting PC and console players battle together in the game’s 50v50 ultra-tactical milsim—free of charge—and introducing a new battleground called Đắk Tô Airfield for the first time during the test.

The open crossplay playtest is available to all players on:

Start: Friday, 24 July at 6:00AM PDT / 9:00AM EDT / 2:00PM BST / 3:00PM CEST

End: Monday, 27 July at 6:00AM PDT / 9:00AM EDT / 2:00PM BST / 3:00AM CEST

The test runs for multiple days, giving players plenty of time to learn the new map and find their footing in a hardcore FPS environment.

What’s new: Đắk Tô Airfield brings a different fight

Đắk Tô Airfield is available to the public for the first time during this playtest. While dense Vietnam-era vegetation is still part of the environment, this map shifts the center of gravity toward a large open area used as the focal point for the attack.

Instead of relying primarily on jungle-style cover, the airfield sits at the core of the back-and-forth engagements typical to Hell Let Loose matches, but with far less sparse cover than earlier maps. That design is expected to change how players move and approach objectives—open spaces around the runway can be punishing when you’re exposed.

Why this playtest matters

This is the first time crossplay has been enabled in Hell Let Loose Vietnam, giving PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S players a shared match experience. The addition of Đắk Tô Airfield also means players won’t just be testing crossplay—they’ll be doing it on a new layout with more open terrain and a different tactical rhythm.
