Halo: Campaign Evolved Next Update Fixes Mission Progression and Enemy AI
Next week, Halo: Campaign Evolved is set to receive a new update focused on fixing multiple issues and improving campaign gameplay. The patch targets mission progression blockers, enemy behavior consistency, and specific visual and stability options across platforms.
Campaign and gameplay changes coming in the update
- Sergeant Johnson fix: An issue that previously could block further mission progress is being addressed.
- Jackal adjustments: Jackals are expected to react more reliably when players hit their hands or feet, making it easier to cause them to stagger when aiming for those areas.
- Assault Rifle behavior: Marines and Flood Marines will be able to fire their Assault Rifles even when the Magnified Skull is activated.
- Visual settings improvements: Chromatic Aberration can be disabled.
- Film Grain option: Film Grain can also be disabled.
- Stability work: Additional stability improvements are planned across multiple platforms.
Saved progress warning for players
- During a mission: If you download the update while you’re in the middle of a mission, your saved progress within that ongoing mission will become invalid.
- What remains: Missions you’ve already unlocked and Rally Points will stay available.
Patch notes timing and release window
The full patch notes will be provided alongside the update’s release. A specific day or time within the coming week has not been announced yet.
