“Years ago I watched both parents suffer through debilitating illnesses with few options available in Alternative Medicine. In an effort to help them, I started researching the field of Alternative Medicine and eventually found Rosemary Gladstar. She lit the fire and opened the door to Herbalism for me, providing the backbone for my studies. I will always be grateful to her for her open enthusiasm, vast knowledge and welcoming heart.
Many years, teachers and courses later, I enrolled in the East West School of Herbology and had the privilege to study with Michael and Lesley Tierra and the ‘East West Family’. It was a life-changing, challenging, wonderful experience with some of the finest teachers available, a strong school and online support system and an unyielding philosophy designed to treat the whole person! Attending the annual seminars helped solidify the vast amount of information presented and provided an opportunity to network and develop lasting friendships. Michael and Lesley have created a unique school with boundless opportunities!
After graduating from the East West School of Herbology, I completed a 400+ hour American Herbalists Guild Mentorship with Judy Music and Nicholas Schnell, while working at two different clinics. I opened Blue Wingg Herbs in Northfield, Vermont and strive to incorporate Western, Ayurvedic and Traditional Chinese herbs and herbal therapeutics including Shirodhara and Cupping/Scraping. Personal consultations provide clients specialized tinctures, formulas, flower essences and Diet and Lifestyle assessments all uniquely designed for their particular body constitution. I thoroughly enjoy the variety of people I am privileged to see.
My goal is to continue teaching and educating others about the benefits of including herbs and herbal therapies in their lives. Having the knowledge available to change, improve and regulate your own health, emotionally and physically, is truly empowering and well worth the effort.
I spend my limited free time outside and enjoy hiking, biking, kayaking, canoeing, camping and gardening. My family and I have lived all over the United States, Europe and Central America and love the ever changing, challenging opportunities we’ve experienced along the way. My husband and I recently rode our bicycles across America and immensely enjoyed the unique people we met. We continue our annual trips, always ready for another adventure!”
