Diablo 4 Season 14 Patch July 14 Buffs Mythic Unique Drops and Crafting

Blizzard is rolling out a new Diablo 4 patch for Season 14 this Tuesday, July 14, 2026, and while the update is relatively light, it includes targeted changes aimed at one of the season’s biggest pain points: getting Mythic Uniques. The patch also reshuffles where key Season 14 endgame systems appear, and it adds a more reliable way to earn crafting materials tied to Mythics.

Patch 3.1.1 key Mythic changes (what changes and why it matters)

The headline adjustment is improved loot output tied to the Season 14 reputation loop and a tweak to crafting requirements for Mythic upgrading.

  • Guaranteed Pandemonium Fragment from Glints of Hope turns-in: After patch 3.1.1 goes live, you will receive a Pandemonium Fragment every time you turn in Glints of Hope. These are earned by filling the seasonal reputation bar through other quests.
  • Corrupted Reaper payout up to two fragments: Defeating the Corrupted Reaper now grants up to two Pandemonium Fragments, with the amount based on your Torment level.
  • Horadric Cube “upgrade to Mythic” cost reduced: Blizzard is cutting the number of Pandemonium Fragments needed to use the Horadric Cube option from five down to four.

Important timing tip: hold Glints of Hope until Tuesday

Because the patch introduces a guarantee tied to Glints of Hope, the most practical move is to avoid turning it in early.

  1. Wait for patch 3.1.1 to deploy on July 14, 2026.
  2. Then spend your Glints of Hope reputation rewards to ensure you’re getting the new guaranteed Pandemonium Fragment payoff per turn-in.

Mythic crafting still isn’t a true upgrade (and why that’s a problem)

Blizzard is reducing the fragment requirement, but it’s not changing the core behavior of the Horadric Cube “upgrade to Mythic” mechanic.

  • The process does not upgrade the item you put in.
  • Instead, it rolls a random Mythic Unique in the same equipment slot.
  • You can only equip one crafted Mythic at a time in your build, which also applies to Iconic Mythics made using Resplendent Sparks.

Blizzard does not indicate that this underlying restriction or roll behavior is being changed yet.

Loot reliability improvements: Mythic sources and Iconic odds

Even though crafted options remain limited, the patch also aims to make naturally dropped Mythics easier to obtain.

  • Fix to Unique sources that couldn’t drop as Mythic: Blizzard addressed an issue that prevented certain sources of Uniques from dropping as Mythic, explicitly including Lair Bosses.
  • Iconic Mythic chance increased: The chance of a Mythic drop being an Iconic Mythic has been raised.
  • El’Druin added back to the Blacksmith cache pool: El’Druin, Sword of Justice was missing from the Blacksmith’s Mythic Unique Cache pool, and it is now included.

Season 14 endgame updates: where to find the reputation board and better keys

Outside Mythics, the patch improves quality-of-life for Season 14 systems and makes certain dungeon runs more worthwhile at higher difficulty.

  • Seasonal reputation board relocated to Temis: You can now find the seasonal reputation board in Temis. Temis is described as Lord of Hatred’s hub city and the center for Season 14’s War Plans endgame.
  • Deathtoll Chambers now guarantees a Superior Lair Key at high Torment: Deathtoll Chambers, which are spawned by Season 14’s Realmwalkers, will now guarantee at least one Superior Lair Key at high Torment tiers.

Class balance: no notable changes, mostly bug fixes

Beyond a set of bug fixes, the patch does not include meaningful class balance changes. The update also does not address mid-season imbalance directly, even though the broader meta context described here notes that Barbarian has been dominating while other classes like Warlock have struggled.

What to do before patch day

  • Save your Glints of Hope so you can benefit from the new guarantee once patch 3.1.1 is live.
  • Be aware that the Horadric Cube fragment cost drops from five to four, but the roll-based Mythic behavior remains the same.
