Delta Chronicles DLC: episode missions, new characters, and tech

The expansion pass begins with Delta Chronicles, which is available right now. It adds five new missions built around well-known Voyager episodes: Distant Origin, The Omega Directive, Homestead, Cold Fire, and Inside Man.

Alongside the mission drop, Gamexcite is expanding the roster with two additional characters—Engineer Reginald Barclay and Voth Molecular Paleontologist Professor Forra Gegen. Each character includes unique combat abilities, giving players more variety in how they approach encounters.

The DLC also introduces additional points of interest and unlocks, including the Voth City Ship, a Ferengi Marauder that can potentially become an ally, and six extra technologies for long-term progression.

Free update 1.8: ship quest events, balancing, and bug fixes

Releasing alongside Delta Chronicles is free update 1.8. It adds seven ship quest events and includes balancing changes plus bug fixes intended to improve the overall experience.

Gamexcite says it plans to keep rolling out free patches and upgrades throughout the remainder of the expansion pass, including more ship quest content, additional balancing, and further improvements as the later DLC parts arrive.

September reveal: U.S.S. Equinox and a mode coming later

Looking ahead to the second DLC portion in September, Gamexcite has previewed a special mode. The developer says the U.S.S. Equinox will be added for this mode and will arrive “exclusively” for it.

While details on the new mode are still limited, Gamexcite has teased that the Delta Quadrant will become “even stranger than before,” with the promised content aimed at adding many more hours of gameplay and presenting challenges even to experienced captains.

October–December 2026: more missions, a new sector, and more “what if” scenarios

The remaining two DLC parts are both planned for October through December 2026. The next drop is described as delivering more missions, heroes, technologies, and NPC ships. The final part will take players to a new sector based on one of Voyager’s most famous episodes, continuing the game’s approach of branching outcomes and alternate decisions.

Gamexcite also confirms that the later DLC will include additional story content designed around “what if” scenarios, consistent with the game’s emphasis on choice-driven exploration.

Dev message and what to watch for next

Gamexcite accompanied the announcement with a player thank-you message, pointing to community support since launch—from bug reports and fan theories to ongoing discussion about choices and consequences. The developer also frames the expansion as an ongoing journey, adding that the Delta Quadrant is “vast” and that more is still on the way, with the next steps expected across the rest of 2026.
