Hell Let Loose: Vietnam Goes Live With Patch 1.2 and 500+ Fixes, Roadmap to 2026
Hell Let Loose: Vietnam just received its biggest round of changes yet: patch 1.2 is live on all platforms and brings 500+ fixes. Alongside broad improvements to maps, audio, vehicles, and gameplay stability, the developers also published the game’s first full roadmap extending to 2026, outlining major content and system additions for upcoming updates.
Patch 1.2 details
The update targets multiple parts of the battlefield experience. Developers say every map was adjusted, with changes that include visual improvements to water, collision detection fixes, and tuning to level detail.
Vehicle and combat feedback also received attention. Helicopter audio was improved after it was found to be too quiet when players were nearby. The patch also enhances the ability to tell apart gunfire by improving sound clarity for .50 cal HMG shots and light machine gun fire.
Several practical gameplay adjustments were made for armor crews and transport units. Trucks were made faster, while tank drivers no longer have to worry about a smoke-screen visibility limit—smoke now only affects play by imposing a 2-minute cooldown on its use.
On the interface side, the tactical map was updated, and the team added a warning related to duplicate key bindings so players can avoid misconfigured controls. A complete change list is provided in the game’s official patch notes.
Roadmap to 2026
With patch 1.3 planned for next week, the roadmap confirms that development plans reach well beyond small fixes. The team says patch 1.3 will address issues such as server setting resets after crashes or restarts and a bug where the scoreboard could not be opened on the screen shown after a character’s death.
- Patch 1.3: planned for next week, with fixes targeting server settings after outages and scoreboard access after death.
- Update 1.5 (expected in September): new weapons including M14 and SKS Type 56, plus the Bell UH-1 Iroquois (Huey) helicopter recreated under official Bell licensing.
- Update 1.5: adds support for a vehicle in-cabin radio so passengers can hear period-appropriate Vietnam-era music; the effect strengthens when multiple synced vehicles are running.
- Update 2.0 (coming this year): expands the U.S. forces with Australian and New Zealander allies (ANZAC), adding weapons L1A1 SLR, F1 SMG, and L16A1, alongside a new map called Khe Sanh.
- Update 2.0 and Update 3.0 are both scheduled for this year, with Update 3.0 adding armored vehicles for both sides.
- Update 3.0: introduces Green Berets and Navy SEALs, adds four weapons (MAT-49 SMG, SVD Dragunov, Stoner 63, and M14 with a scope), and brings a new map named Rung Sat set across swamps and jungle.
- Battalions system: the next major feature aims to help communities form groups, identify members, track member statistics, and queue together for servers; the first version will deliver the system’s core foundation.
