Eternal Fire Bench Alexander “br0” Bro After Signing Him From NRG for CS2
Eternal Fire has moved Alexander “br0” Bro to the bench in Counter-Strike 2, less than two months after signing him from NRG. The Danish star joined the Turkish organization on July 5 and, despite a strong individual showing, will no longer be part of the active lineup as the team prepares for back-to-back qualification runs.
Why the roster change happened
Eternal Fire’s decision came quickly after the transfer. br0 was brought in to participate in only three major events, and his results were mixed across that stretch. He won European Pro League Series 8, but NODWIN Clutch Series #10 ended with a 9–16 finish, and the “last chance” qualification for Esports World Cup also failed to produce a spot for the team, placing 17–32.
In total, br0 played eight matches for EF. Across 21 maps, the 24-year-old posted a rating of 0.93, a level that suggests the move is not purely performance-based, but rather tied to EF’s immediate roster needs and upcoming schedule.
What’s next for Eternal Fire

The change happens with closed qualifiers beginning next Thursday, August 27, for the Logitech G Play Connect event in Warsaw.

EF then has another closed qualification run shortly after, from September 2–4, aiming to secure a place at Intel Extreme Masters Beijing.
At the moment, there are no clear rumors about who EF might add next, but the team is currently listed at 81st in the Valve world ranking and 78th in HLTV’s global standings.
