The move also comes as Luminosity prepares for upcoming offline events in Poland and Europe.

Alexander “kakafu” Szymanczyk becomes Luminosity’s CS2 coach
Luminosity confirmed Alexander “kakafu” Szymanczyk as the organization’s new Counter-Strike 2 trainer. He arrives directly from Monte. Before that, he worked with multiple squads and development programs, including BIG, OG Esports, BIG academy, and PENTA Sports.
His coaching resume includes reaching the quarterfinals at PGL Major Kraków in 2017. He also has wins and deep runs to his name, including taking CCT Season 3’s world finals, reaching the DreamHack Open Denver 2017 final, and making it to the ESL Challenger Atlanta 2024 stage. More recently, he placed the team in the Global Esports Tour Dubai 2022 semifinals.
Bymas benched as organization looks to finalize its roster
The coaching appointment arrives as Luminosity works through a broader roster adjustment. Aurimas “Bymas” Pipiras was recently shifted to the bench, and the team now needs to complete the active five-player setup.
Bymas had not been with Luminosity for long, joining on July 1. In the meantime, kakafu is not a completely new presence for the players—he previously supported the group during XSE Pro League Guangzhou and the Esports World Cup.
Upcoming events: Poland first, then Digital Crusade DraculaN
Luminosity is set to appear in Poland in the coming months. The organization’s roster will compete at Logitech G Play Connect 2026 in Warsaw, scheduled for September 17–23. After that, Luminosity will also take part in the seventh season of Digital Crusade DraculaN, running October 19–23.
