Harriet is a licensed acupuncturist, author, and educator who has practiced Chinese medicine for more than 40 years. Harriet is co-author of the best-selling Between Heaven and Earth: A Guide to Chinese Medicine as well as many articles, on the Advisory Board of the UCSF Osher Center for Integrative Medicine, on the Editorial Board of the peer-reviewed journals, Explore: The Journal of Science and Healing and Alternative Therapies in Health and Medicine, and has lectured nationally and internationally. Harriet is engaged in an active practice at Chinese Medicine Works.
