Croc Remastered Physical Copies Still Delayed After 1+ Year of Preorders
More than a year after pre-orders opened, some buyers of the physical editions of Croc Remastered say they still haven’t received the copies they paid for. The issue affects physical releases and limited editions of the latest remaster of the classic PlayStation and PC title originally developed by Argonaut Games, with frustrated customers pointing to long delays and unclear updates on order status.
Pre-orders were opened in December 2024, months before the remaster launched in early 2025. For the physical production and distribution, Argonaut partnered with Rock It Games. However, multiple customers claim that even after placing their orders and waiting through the release window, their packages never arrived.
The situation reportedly worsened after information circulated that shipments would begin in early July. Despite that claim, many buyers say they continue to wait and have not received sufficiently clear communication about where their orders stand. Discussions on social platforms have intensified, with customers asking both Argonaut Games and Rock It Games for updates and expressing concern that the time between payment and delivery has become unreasonably long.
Argonaut Games responded directly to some users on X, stating: “We are doing everything we can to convince them to communicate with customers.” The statement suggests friction or at least difficulty in coordination with the distribution partner, though no further details were provided about the causes of the delays.
The dispute carries added weight for Argonaut because the studio is already promoting Croc 2 Remastered, which is scheduled to arrive by the end of 2026. For current buyers, the central concern remains the delivery of already-paid copies and access to reliable order information—especially given that many of the affected purchases were made at the end of 2024.
