ESO Plus Free Trial Live Until August 27 for ESO

The Elder Scrolls Online is offering a free trial of its optional ESO Plus premium subscription right now, running until August 27 at 16:00. The promotion gives you access to a wide set of downloadable content and key account benefits for a limited window, letting you explore DLC zones you may not have unlocked yet.

The ESO Plus free trial is available immediately and lasts until Thursday, August 27, 2026 at 16:00. During the trial period, you’ll receive the subscription’s main perks while you play in Tamriel’s Second Era.

Includes 30 group dungeons, plus systems such as Antiquities and the system of Glory’s Tales

10% bonus to Experience, gold, Archive Fortunes, crafting inspiration, Alliance Points, and Tel Var stones, plus increased trait study speed

Practical impact: what you can (and can’t) claim

To activate the trial, you need to log into ESO, open the in-game Crown Store, go to the ESO Plus tab, and select “Free Trial!”. Once enabled, the trial benefits remain active until August 27 at 16:00.

Important limits apply: because this is a trial, you will not receive the monthly Crowns that ESO Plus normally grants, and you also won’t get the free mount offered to paying ESO Plus members. The trial also does not provide access to companions released with the base game update 44, or those tied to the Blackwood, High Isle, and Necrom chapters.

Platform scope and what comes next

The offer is accessed through the ESO in-game Crown Store, meaning activation is handled entirely in-game via your ESO account. If you want to keep enjoying ESO Plus benefits after the trial ends, you’ll need to subscribe through the ESO Plus page to receive ongoing perks, including the regular monthly Crown allowance and related in-game offers.

Additionally, players who already have an active paid ESO Plus subscription can claim a free mount called the Pyrodrake Camel (referred to in the announcement as “Lézard-dromadaire pyrodraconique”) until September 3. Trial accounts are not eligible for this mount.
