Milestone and Mattel have revealed a new release date for Hot Wheels Infinite Rush, the upcoming arcade-style racer coming to PlayStation 5 and multiple other platforms. The game is now scheduled to launch earlier than planned, and the teams have also shared a fresh trailer plus the first episode of a breakdown series.

Hot Wheels Infinite Rush is set to arrive on September 10, 2026. It launches on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, ROG Xbox Ally/Ally X, and PC, with Milestone confirming the date change from an earlier target of September 24.

To mark the announcement, Milestone released the first episode of Beyond the Track, a video series designed to preview what players can expect in the upcoming racer. The episode spotlights the game’s free-roaming features, including Daredevil challenges, Delivery Stunts, and Stuntman activities.

Four islands, one connected world

Milestone also named four islands featured in the game: Wheelswood, Tentacle Bay, Gearville, and Drifty Temples. Each location is described as having its own distinct environment and event variety, with activities tied to expanding your collection as you race.

Wheelswood is framed as a modern metropolis, pushing players to find routes through long straightaways, tall skyscrapers, and narrow side streets. Tentacle Bay leans into a more relaxed setting with sandy beaches, green parks, crystal-clear waters, and added focus on a rocky area plus an archaeological park.

Gearville shifts to a harsher desert world with deep canyons, industrial excavation sites, massive factories, and heavy machinery. Drifty Temples is presented as a twilight zone inspired by East Asian aesthetics, featuring neon-lit streets, blooming cherry trees, water canals, and ancient temples—while a giant dragon watches over the area.

All four islands are connected through the Launcher, a teleportation system that lets players jump between islands at any time.
