Palworld 1.0 Update Reworks Crafting Chains, Boosting Wood and New Materials
Palworld’s 1.0 update adds a wave of new crafting inputs and tweaks older recipes so that resources many players have already stockpiled—like wood and other mid-game materials—suddenly become much more important. The update’s headline change is a larger, more interconnected production chain, with new ores, fluids, batteries, and late-game cores unlocking at specific levels and powering higher-tier buildings and equipment.
Palworld 1.0’s new crafting resources (and when they unlock)
Version 1.0 introduces several new materials and revises how common ones are used, including new building boards and new components for advanced tech. Below is a consolidated list of the update’s new resources and the level gates tied to them.
- Wooden Board: Unlocked via the Technology tree; crafted at the Workshop Assembly Line using Wood, Fiber, and Nails. Used in older recipes such as Pal Beds and Assembly Lines.
- High Quality Wooden Board: Crafted at the Workshop Assembly Line using Hardwood, regular Wood, and High Quality Cloth. Used for structures including a Drafting Table, Large Fishing Pool, and upgraded buildings.
- Hardwood: A new resource in Version 1.0 harvested by chopping specific hardwood trees on the floating Sunreach Islands. It is also farmable in Sakurajima.
- Cryogenic Coolant: Unlocks at Level 31; crafted at the Production Assembly Line using Aquatic Pal Fluid and Ice Organ. Used for armor, Powerful Fishing Magnets, Power Pods, Hot Springs, and other recipes.
- Corrosive Solvent: Unlocks at Level 37; made using Venom Glands and Sulfur. It increases the value of those older materials and is required for Thermal Cores, Cryogenic Coolant, and high-tier armor.
- Bio Battery: Unlocks at Level 44; crafted using Electric Organs, Refined Ingots, and Carbon Fiber. Powers multiple electrical structures, including Electric Furnaces, Item Retrieval Machines, and advanced lighting.
- Computer: Unlocks at Level 50. Each Computer requires Circuit Boards, Plastial, Bio Batteries, and Carbon Fiber. Used for advanced storage and Ancient Technology, plus high-level crafting.
- Thermal Core: Unlocks at Level 59. Crafted with Flame Organs, Coal, Corrosive Solvent, and Hexalite. Used in advanced armor, ammunition, Ancient Technology, and the Wing Pack.
- Soralite Ore: A new ore found on the floating Sunreach Islands, shown as bright blue deposits. It can only be mined with the Plasma Multicutter.
- Soralite Ingot: Smelted at the Ancient Furnace using Soralite and Pure Quartz. A key endgame material that appears across many high-tier recipes.
- AI Core: Unlocks at Level 67 and is crafted at the Advanced Workshop. Each AI Core requires Computers, Soralite Ingots, Thermal Cores, and Ancient Civilization Cores. Primarily used for the strongest technology, including the Wing Pack, new Ancient Armor, advanced weapons, and multiple endgame structures.
- World Tree Holy Water: Dropped by Pals inside the World Tree biome. Required for numerous Ancient Technology recipes and Pal Metal Ingots.
- Mythical Wood: Harvested from trees in the World Tree region, but the trees disappear unless the player consumes World Tree Holy Water or brings a Pal with a new Rainbow Passive that keeps special resources visible longer.
- Paloxite Ore: Another World Tree-exclusive ore appearing as glowing pink deposits near Dusty Ravine Watchtower, mined using the Plasma Multicutter.
- Paloxite Ingot: Created by fusing Soralite and Paloxite with World Tree Holy Water at the Anxient Furnace (unlocked at Level 66). Used for high-tier equipment and structures, including Ancient Spheres and Wing Packs.
How to reach the World Tree (and why it matters for rare drops)
The update also adds the new World Tree biome, which is tied to exclusive resources that can’t be found elsewhere. Access is gated by a multi-step questline and boss objective, plus setup involving a terminal interaction.
- Unlock the World Tree by completing the questline called “To The World Tree”.
- Collect four relics from whale skeleton locations.
- Craft the Echoing Flute.
- Defeat the huge Panthalus boss.
- Capture Panthalus, then bring it to the World Tree barrier.
- Interact with the locked terminal to disable the energy field and gain access to the biome.
Once inside, World Tree-exclusive materials such as World Tree Holy Water and Paloxite Ore can be farmed, and Mythical Wood harvesting depends on using Holy Water or leveraging a Rainbow Passive to keep special resource nodes visible.
World Tree farming’s key interactions in Palworld 1.0
- World Tree Holy Water is both a drop and a gating tool for Mythical Wood tree availability, and it is also required in crafting Paloxite Ingot.
- Mythical Wood trees can disappear unless players consume Holy Water or bring a Pal with a Rainbow Passive that prolongs visibility of special resources.
- Paloxite Ingot requires a full chain: Soralite + Paloxite + World Tree Holy Water at the Anxient Furnace (Level 66 unlock).
With Version 1.0’s crafting web, many late-game materials depend on earlier components—so building automated production for common ingredients can significantly reduce the grind later, especially as resources like Corrosive Solvent, Soralite Ingots, and Thermal Cores feed directly into even higher-tier tech.
