Arsenal and Bayern provide the strongest European pressure
Arsenal’s Premier League title has put Arteta’s side among the leading contenders. Their domestic triumph ended more than two decades without an English league crown and restored the Gunners to the top of the domestic game.

Bodo/Glimt earned their nomination through an unexpected Champions League campaign which included victories over Atletico Madrid and Manchester City. The Norwegian club’s run has taken them into a field normally dominated by Europe’s biggest-budget sides.
Flamengo arrive after winning both the Campeonato Brasileiro and the Copa Libertadores. The Libertadores success was their third in six years, underlining a period of domestic and continental control for the Rio club.

Barcelona target a return to the top in women’s category
Barcelona are favourites for the 2026 Women’s Club of the Year award after completing a domestic treble and lifting another Champions League trophy. The Catalan club won the first two editions of the prize in 2023 and 2024 before Arsenal took the honour in 2025.
Manchester City and Bayern Munich join Barcelona after title-winning campaigns in England and Germany respectively, while OL Lyonnes are also in the field. Club America complete the group after securing the Concacaf W Champions Cup.
