Skechers unveil Beyond Illusion football boots with desert-inspired design
Skechers Football has launched its Beyond Illusion Pack, with the elite editions of the SKX_2 Elite FG and Razor 2 Elite FG reaching the pitch on October 19.
The new collection is built around the idea that comfort can bring calm in high-pressure moments. Its design combines desert-inspired sand shades with metallic gold, opal-blue details intended to evoke an oasis, and deep grey finishing.
Harry Kane, Mohammed Kudus, Romeo Lavia and Lexi Lloyd-Smith are among the players associated with the release.
Control and speed options
The SKX_2 Elite FG is aimed at players who want to dictate play through first touch, passing and vision. It has an updated Fitknit upper designed to mould around the foot, providing breathable support and a secure fit, while Precision Strike Control detailing is intended to improve contact for passes, shots and close control.
Skechers has also fitted the boot with Hyper Burst Pro cushioning for impact absorption and response. A slanted lacing construction is designed to suit different foot shapes, while the revised multi-directional outsole is built to provide grip through sharp changes of direction.
The Razor 2 Elite FG, meanwhile, is the speed-focused model. Its lightweight construction includes a TPU and glass-fibre plate, plus a stud configuration influenced by track footwear to support acceleration and braking.
A full microfiber upper is designed to be worn immediately without a break-in period. The boot also uses an internal ripstop cage for lockdown and close ball contact. Both elite models include V-Grip PU material to add grip on the ball and Grip_Fit silicone lining elements intended to reduce movement inside the boot.
The range will expand on October 23, when Skechers releases Academy, Club and Kids Academy versions of the Beyond Illusion Pack.
