SpiritVale Enters Early Access Just Weeks After Kickstarter Ends
SpiritVale is stepping into early access unusually fast for an MMORPG—launching just weeks after its Kickstarter wrapped. The project from Aussio studio Baikun Interactive recently raised just under $250,000 USD through Kickstarter earlier this month, and the timing is part of why momentum carried: early backers and testers already had a playable build to discuss. Now the door is open for everyone, whether you supported the campaign or you’re hearing about it for the first time.
Early access goes live
Baikun Interactive posted on Steam that SpiritVale Early Access is now available. In the announcement, the team thanked players for months of support and highlighted that the developer “really does love to read your comments and see you playing” the game. The studio also promised continued work to deliver a strong experience, noting that more content should arrive during the coming weeks and months.
The message also includes practical guidance for players: if you run into bugs or have suggestions, report them, and use the game’s Discord if you need to report another player. The team further thanked the art staff and moderators, and asked for patience if servers run into crashes during the early access period.
Practical impact for players now
Early access is expected to last roughly six months to a year while development continues. Even with that longer roadmap, the current build already includes seven classes, multiplayer parties, and more than 35 maps. Core progression features are also in place, including skill progression, class switching, and loot systems—though the developers warn that some elements may appear as placeholders while things are still being built out.
On the price side, SpiritVale is listed for $15 on Steam.
Platform scope
At launch, the early access release is on Steam.
What comes next
- More content is planned across the next weeks and months as development continues.
- Expect placeholder elements to be replaced or expanded over time.
- The team will continue monitoring issues like bugs and server stability, with player feedback and Discord moderation support.
