Final Fantasy Tactics Ivalice Chronicles Hits Version 1.5.1 on Switch
Square Enix has released a fresh update for Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles, bringing the game up to version 1.5.1. Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch players should be able to download this build now.
Version 1.5.1 availability and what’s changing
| Game | Update | Platforms | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles | Version 1.5.1 | Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch | Small patch focused on New Game+ buried item availability, plus minor fixes |
This is primarily a lightweight follow-up to the prior patch. Even so, it includes a gameplay-relevant adjustment for players running New Game+—buried items can be found again.
Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles version 1.5.1 patch notes
- When starting a new New Game+ run, buried items are available for discovery once more.
- The update applies only to New Game+ save files that are newly created after the version 1.5.1 update goes live.
- Minor wording adjustments were made for Traditional Chinese.
- Other small issues have been addressed.
For clarity, this buried-item change will only affect New Game+ save data that you begin after updating to version 1.5.1.
If you missed it, Square Enix also rolled out a larger update last month. That earlier update introduced New Game+ and a Zodiac Compatibility feature, added new options, and included additional content and improvements. Full patch details from that release are noted separately.
Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles is available now on Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch. A review of the game is also available for players who want an overview before jumping in.
