Nintendo eShop July 30 Update: Switch 2 Xenoblade

Nintendo’s latest eShop update is live this week across Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch, adding new games and upgrades, plus several timed events and music playlists for Nintendo Music and Nintendo Switch Online members.

Nintendo Switch 2: big new releases and upgrades

New titles are now available on Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch 2, including multiple releases that arrive this month.

Xenoblade Chronicles 2 – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition is available now. The upgrade includes 4K output in TV mode and full HD in handheld mode at 60 frames per second, plus smoother and sharper cutscenes. Additional additions include a new Rare Blade named Momo and an action battle mode called Merc Assault. If you already own the Nintendo Switch version, you can buy an upgrade pack through Nintendo eShop.
EA SPORTS Madden NFL 27 launches on Aug. 13 on Nintendo Switch 2. Pre-orders are open now on Nintendo eShop, and EA SPORTS Madden NFL 27 Deluxe Edition pre-orders include up to three days of early access along with extra in-game items and points.
Arcade Archives 2 adds ARMADILLO RACING and MOUSER to the Nintendo Switch 2 eShop.
Big Walk is available Aug. 4.
Lies of P: Complete Edition is available Aug. 5.
Parkasaurus: Dinoluxe Edition is available Aug. 5.

EA SPORTS Madden NFL 27: what’s new on the field

Nintendo’s listing highlights a set of gameplay and mode updates for the upcoming football release.

Franchise is described as “reactive” and always evolving, with each athlete having a distinct personality that affects motivations, demands, and reactions.
Gameplay changes include more precise WR/DB battles, new short-yardage mechanics, defensive coverage improvements, and new strategic pre-play settings and controls.
A new progression path is called out for the Superstar G.O.A.T. Career Journey.
Ultimate Team Captains add roster customization options.

Limited-time events, Nintendo Music playlists, and member rewards

Alongside game releases, Nintendo is running a timed DLC event in Donkey Kong Bananza and expanding listening options in Nintendo Music.

Donkey Kong Bananza: DK Island & Emerald Rush DLC event (paid DLC): The monthly limited-time event runs from Aug. 4 at 1 a.m. PT to Aug. 11 at 12:59 a.m. PT. During the event on “Resort Layer,” players can collect in-game statues of Kiddy Kong and the DK Coin.
Nintendo Music new playlists: New Free Roam tracks from Mario Kart World are now available, including playlists for Free Roam with Super Mario World 2: Yoshi’s Island, Free Roam with Donkey Kong Country, Free Roam with Luigi’s Mansion, Free Roam with WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgame$!, and Free Roam with Flipnote Studio.
My Nintendo reward (paid Switch Online members): An exclusive desktop metal display is available while supplies last. Redeem 1,000 My Nintendo Platinum Points for the collectible.
My Nintendo reward (Splatoon Raiders Memo pad): The Splatoon Raiders Memo pad can be redeemed for 550 My Nintendo Platinum Points.
