Breath of the Wild: Locations of All Four Great Fairy Fountains and Upgrades
If you’re planning your next run in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, the game’s Great Fairy fountains are a major part of upgrading your gear. There are four total fountains across Hyrule—Seddha, Satten, Laniah, and Muarenn—and each one costs rupees to unlock its services and to upgrade your outfits and armor up to a specific maximum level.
All four Great Fairy fountains, and what they cost
No matter which fountain you activate first, you’ll need to pay the rupee fee tied to that fountain. After unlocking, each fountain allows you to raise your equipment upgrade tier up to level 4, with each fountain corresponding to one step on the upgrade ladder:
- First fountain (Seddha): 100 rupees — upgrades up to Level 1 (★)
- Second fountain (Satten): 500 rupees — upgrades up to Level 2 (★★)
- Third fountain (Laniah): 1,000 rupees — upgrades up to Level 3 (★★★)
- Fourth fountain (Muarenn): 10,000 rupees — upgrades up to Level 4 (★★★★)
What each fountain improves
Each Great Fairy fountain is tied to upgrades for your outfits and armor, letting you progress through the upgrade levels one fountain at a time. That means your total progression depends on how many fountains you unlock—and which ones you choose to invest in first.
