Dispatch Set for July 29 Launch After San Diego Comic-Con Appearance on July 24
With Dispatch set to be heavily represented at San Diego Comic-Con 2026, developer AdHoc Studio has also confirmed a fresh release window for players who want to jump back in right after the show. The cast from the upcoming “Dispatch” segment will appear at the event on July 24, and the studio says the game will land on a new platform just a few days later, on July 29. Since Dispatch was widely regarded as one of the standout games of 2025, the extra support and continued momentum are already drawing a lot of attention from returning and new players alike.
Dispatch Comic-Con 2026 Panel Details
San Diego Comic-Con’s Dispatch panel is titled Dispatch: Off the Clock with the Z-Team. The event description indicates that it will include nearly all of the key creators and performers who helped bring the Z-Team to life. The only notable exception mentioned is that Mecha Man actor Aaron Paul will not be there in person.
Confirmed participants include Laura Bailey (Invisigal), Travis Willingham (Phenomaman), Sean “Jacksepticeye” McLoughlin (Punch Up), Thot Squad (Prism), Yung Gravy (Golem), Alanah Pearce (Malevola), Lance Cantstoplis (Flambae), Joel Haver (Waterboy), Mayanna Berrin (Coupe), and Charles “Moistcr1tikal” White (Sonar), with White joining via remote connection (“dialing in”). The panel is moderated by Erin Yvette (Blonde Blazer).
Separately, in a recent conversation with a Dispatch co-star, Aaron Paul—best known for Breaking Bad—shared his hopes for additional future seasons of the game.
Dispatch Finally Locks In its Xbox Series X/S Release Date
- Wishlist Dispatch on Xbox Series X/S
Players who want another entry point into Dispatch—or who simply missed it on other systems—will get their chance when the game releases on Xbox Series X/S on July 29. The title is now available for wishlisting on Xbox, letting interested players mark it ahead of launch.
This matters especially for people who have stayed within the Xbox ecosystem so far, since they have not had access to the game yet. It’s also the first time Xbox players will be able to join the party without relying on earlier platforms.
Dispatch has already been available on Nintendo Switch since its PS5 launch in 2025. During that earlier rollout, the game also received an update aimed at addressing “strange” in-game censorship behaviors. With July 29 approaching, Xbox becomes the next stop for players who want to experience the title on a new set of hardware.
For long-time players, the repeated return visits are part of the appeal: multiple platform runs, extra playthroughs, and the hope that AdHoc continues expanding the story. Many fans are also waiting for official confirmation that Dispatch could return with a second season.
Season 2 Talk and What AdHoc Has Signaled So Far
Back in November 2025, AdHoc co-founder and Chief Creative Officer Pierre Shorette said the team would “at least [need] to think about” Dispatch Season 2 during SkillUp’s The Friends Per Second podcast. Then in December 2025, AdHoc indicated it would be deciding what comes next for the studio in the weeks that were approaching at the time. Taken together, that suggests the team may already be working through its next steps right now.
Even so, the studio’s plans could still vary. It’s possible the next move is a new story or another direction entirely, rather than a direct sequel season. Still, AdHoc appears to be aware that a large portion of the audience wants Dispatch Season 2, and that demand remains a major talking point going into future updates.
Beyond the game’s roadmap, there’s also the community-facing side. The studio has openly supported fans, and the performers have done the same. While the San Diego Comic-Con panel may not deliver a flood of new information, seeing the Z-Team come together again—whether that’s within Dispatch itself or in future appearances—should be a morale boost for many viewers.
