I have always felt an immense love for the plant kingdom. In 1988 I moved to Hawaii  and took a job at a plant nursery. In 1990 I moved to India to live with my spiritual  teacher. At that time, I was introduced to Ayurveda and had an immediate affinity and  appreciation. During that year, the ashram opened an Ayurvedic clinic and my seva  was to perform the therapies along with the doctors. The years of practical experience  were very valuable, and at the same time, I wanted to learn more theory. In 1995 I  completed certification in Ayurveda with Dr. Vasant Lad at the Ayurvedic Institute. I also  met Dr. Robert Svoboda and he continues to be a precious friend and Mentor. After my certification, I continued to spend time in India and Hawaii where I became a Massage Therapist (BCTMB). In the early 2000 years, I maintained a private Ayurvedic practice  in California and Hawaii.

During this time, my mother and I were inspired to start an Ayurvedic business to offer  the traditional oils and medicines of India. From 1998-2020, our company Sarada  Ayurvedic Remedies, Inc offered a proprietary line of 100% Natural Ayurvedic Facial  and Body Care Products. Additionally, I became the Founder and Formulator of  Sarada’s Remedies, Inc offering proprietary Traditional Herbal Tinctures. I worked with  ORGANIC INDIA as the Chief of Product Development for Body Care and formulated ORGANIC INDIA’S KURE Body Care Products from 2017-January 2022.

While I was creating products, I was also running the business side of the companies. I  felt like I drifted from my studies and love of plants, and when I saw the East West  Herbal Course, I knew it would assist me in greater understanding and knowledge of  herbal medicine. I acquired the course in December 2019, yet due to an overwhelming  workload, I was only able to start in September of 2020. I never trained in TCM and so  at times it has been difficult for me to comprehend the principles. I still have a long way  to go in my learning, and I am seeking the next direction in my life. The journey  continues, and I pray I am a vehicle for the blessed plant medicine to benefit and uplift  All Beings.
