A newly published interactive guide map for Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced aims to help players uncover the full breadth of its Caribbean world, from sea routes and key islands to town services, side activities, and collectible locations. The map also includes dedicated placement icons for ruins, forts, hunting targets, taverns, chests, and ship-related upgrades—designed to make it easier to track down nearly everything the game’s setting has to offer.

Interactive Caribbean world map with linked markers

The centerpiece of the interactive resource is a general layout covering the entire in-game sea area, including the arrangement of major islands. Beneath that overview, players can use detailed plans for important locations on land to support exploration on foot.

To reduce confusion when switching between overview and local detail, the system uses connected markers—so players can quickly tell which detailed section corresponds to the correct spot on the world map.

Plans split into smaller sections for dense 3D areas

Because the underlying world is presented in three dimensions, the guide splits several locations into multiple smaller pieces when zoomed in closely. The creators emphasize that this does not change the overall layout of buildings, streets, and other environmental elements.

Where to find everything: towns, nature, viewpoints, and more

Players can navigate several categories of locations, including smaller land areas, larger cities, caves and jungles, ruins, viewpoint towers, taverns, chests, traders, port administrators, and even corrupt officials.

Cities and restricted zones

The map highlights major urban hubs such as Havana and Kingston, where players will encounter NPC services, collectibles, and a range of optional activities. It also warns that some city areas may be guarded, and entering restricted zones can trigger hostility from stationed guards.

Caves, jungles, and ruins

Outside the towns, the guide points players toward extra secrets hidden in dense jungles, ancient ruins, and dark caves. It encourages exploration around the islands and locating spots where you can land.

When hovering over an icon for a coastal location, the map can provide additional information about how many interesting elements remain to be discovered there.

Viewpoints and fast travel

As a classic series feature, the map identifies towers and elevated spots using a bird icon. Synchronizing at these locations unlocks a new fast travel point and reveals nearby collectibles on the world map.

Taverns for information and recruitment

Taverns are included as specific stops where Edward can drink, gather information, recruit new crew members, and play checkers. In larger settlements, visiting a tavern is also described as a way to get fresh intel from across the game world.

Chests and how to spot them

The guide lists chest locations, noting that some can be found by carefully inspecting the world map and others via the compass displayed at the top of the screen.

Traders and ship upgrades

Traders are tracked across the islands, typically specializing in particular goods. They can sell new weapons and upgrades that increase Edward’s combat potential.

Port administrators are presented separately as NPCs where players can buy and install upgrades for their ship. The guide notes that basic improvements are relatively inexpensive, while more serious ones require materials such as wood, metal, and cloth.

Corrupt officials and reducing maritime notoriety

Corrupt officials are included as a dedicated category of NPCs who can help reduce negative notoriety at sea. For a fee, they can reset the infamy meter, which prevents the problem of aggressive pirate hunters.
