Lamine Yamal struck after 10 minutes to give Hansi Flick’s side an early advantage, but Betis stayed in the contest through goals from Valentín Gómez and Abde Ezzalzouli.

Barcelona restored their lead before half-time when Rodri arrived late in the area to score in the 41st minute, after Fermín López had supplied the assist. The visitors then took control for good after the interval.

Gabriel Jesus made it 3-1 six minutes into the second half, turning in a cross from Yamal after intelligent movement had dragged Betis defenders out of shape. Eric García, introduced at the break for Martín, added Barcelona’s fourth in the 62nd minute before Olmo came off the bench and finished clinically with nine minutes left.

Yamal was again central to Barcelona’s attacking threat. The teenager not only opened the scoring and created Jesus’ goal, but was involved heavily in the rapid transitions that repeatedly exposed Betis. He was booked in the 55th minute before being replaced late on.

Barcelona’s teenage centre-back also made a major contribution at both ends, setting up García and Olmo for two assists while producing important clearances during Betis’ better spells. The visitors completed 751 passes as their central control gradually wore down the home side.

Flick’s half-time intervention proved pivotal. Barcelona tightened the defensive structure after the break, limiting Betis’ counter-attacking openings while maintaining their aggressive attacking shape. The goalkeeper made three saves and had little chance with either close-range Betis finish.

Several changes helped Barcelona sustain their intensity. García brought greater security to the back line, Olmo made an immediate impact from the 62nd minute, and the late introductions of fresh attacking and midfield options allowed the leaders to close out the match without losing control.

Barcelona now carry a perfect nine-match league record into their next LaLiga fixture, with Flick’s side combining territorial dominance with the depth to punish opponents late in games.
