Clearlake Capital has taken full control of Chelsea after Todd Boehly and Mark Walter sold their 12.83% stakes in the club.

- Clearlake previously held 61.5% and now has near-total authority, with Behdad Eghbali and Jose E. Feliciano leading the ownership group.
- Boehly and Walter were part of the consortium that bought Chelsea for £2.5 billion in 2022, following sanctions imposed on former owner Roman Abramovich.
- Head coach Alonso called it a significant moment for the club and said clear leadership at the top was positive.
- Alonso thanked the departing investors, saying they played an important part in putting the club on a stable footing despite his arrival coming later.
- Eghbali travelled to Madrid to outline Chelsea’s long-term project to Alonso before the manager accepted the job. Alonso said the pair are working closely as the first squad-building phase ends.
- Joao Pedro remains a fitness concern after pulling out of Brazil duty. He has posted three goals and three assists across Chelsea’s first four Premier League matches.
