EW AFFILIATE PROGRAM

The East West School of Planetary Herbology (East West Herb School) now offers an affiliate program! This plan is an opportunity for you to make a commission on any referral you send to our school who purchases an East West Herb School herb course.

AFFILIATE COMMISSION

East West Herb School pays affiliates a 10% commission on any of our herb courses unless explicitly stated otherwise. Exceptions might include special promotions and individual affiliate agreements.

PRODUCTS: HERB COURSES

The East West Herb School affiliate will earn commissions on any herb course sold on the planetherbs.com website (this does not include any products, books, seminars, or any other offerings). The purchase must be made within 90 days of the referral.

The East West Herb School’s flagship product is the online education Professional Herbalist Course which retails at $2499. East West Herb School also offers beginner (Home Herbalist) and intermediate (Kid’s Herbalist) courses. With the purchase of any of these courses, students are given access to live chats and multiple forums to discuss their studies with professional herbalists and other students.

SUBSCRIPTION EARNINGS

The East West Herb School affiliates earn commissions on subsequent course purchases, not just the first time purchase.

HOW IT WORKS – AFFILIATE LINKS

The East West Herb School assigns a unique code to your account. You must use this code in text and image links to earn commissions. Sales within 90 days resulting from clicks earn commissions. Commissions are earned as long as the Affiliate Program is in effect.

COMMISSION CHANGES

The East West Herb School reserves the right to change commission terms going forward from this date and agrees never to retroactively change existing commission terms. Commissions are earned as long as the Affiliate Program is in effect.

AFFILIATE REFERRAL PERIOD

The affiliate is eligible for referral commissions for 90 days from the date of referral.

RECOMMENDED AFFILIATE LINK PLACEMENTS

Affiliate links may be placed on any web property so long as that property does not not associate East West Herb School with negative, hateful, explicit, or criminal material.

Good placements include:

• Blog links
• Blog banner ads
• Opted-in email promotions
• Opted-in email education
• YouTube video annotations, cards and similar extra displays
• Twitter announcements
• Facebook posts and groups
• East West Herb School must approve keyword bidding and display advertising in order to avoid bidding against the school
• Instagram posts
• Pinterest posts
• Reddit posts
• and other social media and web properties

LINKING TOOLS AND GRAPHICS

The East West Herb School provides affiliates with links, specials, promotions, and graphics. Affiliates may create their own graphics and links.

IDEAL AFFILIATE ???

The East West Herb School ideal affiliate runs a blog or social media site about alternative health and/or education; and collects opt-in emails from people interested in alternative health, herbs, botany, phytotherapy and the like.

NON-WEBSITE SALES

Potential customers sometimes call the school administrator for help with purchases. The East West Herb School administrator credits affiliates for phone, in person, postal mail, and other non-website sales. Every reasonable attempt is made to match these customers with their affiliate referrers, including asking the customer for IP information.

EAST WEST HERB SCHOOL AFFILIATE COMMISSION PAYOUTS

United States resident affiliates must submit W9 forms complete with their full information plus complete a contact before any payouts can be made. The East West Herb School pays commissions once per month via PayPal.

NOT TO BE USED AS DISCOUNT PROGRAM

The East West Herb School reserves the right to not pay commissions on self-referrals.

TERMINATION

The East West Herb School and affiliate may terminate this agreement at any time without cause. Notice may be provided by email, phone postal mail or in person.

INDEMNIFICATION

The affiliate agrees that by participating in the East West Herb School Affiliate Program, the East West Herb School does not assume and should not be exposed to the business and operational risks associated with the affiliate’s business, or any aspects of the operation or content on the affiliate’s website(s). Accordingly, the affiliate shall defend, indemnify and hold harmless the East West Herb School from and against any suit, proceeding, assertion, damage, cost, liability, and expenses (including court costs and reasonable attorneys’ fees) incurred as a result of claims of customers or other third parties’ claims against the East West Herb School and its suppliers, officers, directors, employees, and agents arising from or connected with the affilitate’s website, including without limitation any activities or aspects thereof or commerce conducted thereon.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

The affiliate agrees that in no event shall the East West Herb School be liable for any event arising out of this agreement, insofar as the East West Herb School reserves the right to act independently of its affiliates’ needs. The East West Herb School is not responsible for misconfigured links.

FINAL ARBITER

The East West Herb School has the final say in all disputes under this agreement.

GOOD FAITH

In consideration of the LIMITATION OF LIABILITY, the East West Herb School agrees to make good faith efforts to operate its affiliate program in a manner that is considerate of its affiliates’ needs.

AFFILIATE AGREEMENT

The East West Herb School affiliates agree that in promoting any East West Herb School courses they:

• will not make unsubstantiated health claims or promises
• will obtain the East West Herb School permission and review to run internet advertising (to avoid the East West Herb School and affiliates competing against one another)
• will not represent themselves as the East West Herb School employees or owners
• will not malign the East West Herb School competitors
• will not copy the the East West Herb School website content or design
• will make a good-faith effort to accurately portray the benefits of the East West Herb School courses
• will not associate the East West Herb School with negative, hateful, explicit, or criminal material
• will not violate any law, rule, or regulation in promoting the East West Herb School products
• will not infringe upon third party rights (copyright, trademark, privacy, personal, proprietary)
• will not send unsolicited promotional emails, make unsolicited phone calls, or offer any other form of intrusive, unrequested solicitation
• will respect OPT OUT requests
• will use the East West Herb School and PlanetHerbs.com logos and approved graphics
• will respond appropriately to the East West Herb School requests to change graphics and messages
