How to Unlock and Start the Expensive GTA Online Kortz Center Heist
Grand Theft Auto Online has rolled out a fresh update, and one of its biggest draws is the new Kortz Center Heist. The job is also the priciest way to launch an activity in GTA Online right now, with a setup cost that tops $15 million—but you’ll still need to meet several requirements before you can even begin.
How to unlock the Kortz Center Heist
-
First, you’ll want to be ready to earn money quickly, since the update’s heist has a steep entry price even for players who already have the cash.
-
Next, you need a mansion. You can purchase one from the Prix Luxury Real Estate using your in-game phone.
-
For location convenience, the Richman Villa is recommended because it’s the closest option to the Kortz Center.
-
If you already own more than one mansion, you can streamline things by starting setup missions from one property and then submitting progress at another mansion that’s more convenient.
-
After you’ve secured the mansion, you must renovate it to include the Art Studio.
-
If there aren’t any in-game discounts available when you buy the relevant items, the total cost for this step can reach $16.2 million.
-
Once the Art Studio is ready, head to it inside your mansion—it’s located on basement level two.
-
You’ll begin with a brief introductory cutscene, and then you’ll be tasked with completing five setup missions that follow a structure similar to the Casino Heist.
-
There are also additional optional setup missions, letting you expand preparation beyond the required set.
The setup missions cover a full checklist of preparation work, including scouting the Kortz Center, grabbing infiltration tools, acquiring unmarked weapons, sourcing getaway vehicles, and gathering the needed equipment.
If you want to go further, optional tasks can also involve missions tied to guard deliveries and routes, power drill work, and using a glass cutter.
Once you’ve cleared the initial setup grind, the cost for subsequent playthroughs is much more manageable—expected to be around $100,000, which is dramatically lower than the upfront investment.
A more detailed walkthrough of the heist itself is planned for later, and in the meantime, you can find additional GTA Online coverage on the game’s hub for more guides, tips, and updates.
