IEM Beijing Invites FaZe’s Jakub “jcobbbie” Pietruszewski

ESL has moved to the next major Counter-Strike stop on its calendar, announcing 13 teams it has invited to Intel Extreme Masters Beijing. The lineup includes at least one Polish player this time—FaZe Clan’s Jakub “jcobbbie” Pietruszewski—after ESL’s recent reveal of all 16 participants for ESL Pro League Season 24 produced no Poles in the Katowice event’s playoff field.

For IEM Beijing, the invited teams were selected via ESL’s VRS process, with the remaining three slots set to be decided through qualifiers later in August. ESL’s announcement clarifies that those final places won’t be locked to the most recent Valve world ranking positions across the board: Team Vitality and Team Spirit did not receive invites, and their spots were filled by PARIVISION and FaZe Clan. Meanwhile, Team Liquid, 9z, and The MongolZ secured their places through regional qualification rather than direct invitation.

Among the invited names are several top-tier organizations, including Team Falcons, FURIA, MOUZ, and Natus Vincere. The full list of teams confirmed as invited is:
