Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 v1.005.001 Fresh Start Suit Patch

Insomniac Games has released a new update for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 aimed at fixing a community complaint: the Fresh Start suit, added earlier as a free tie-in for the upcoming Spider-Man: Brand New Day movie, wasn’t living up to expectations visually. The studio has now pushed a targeted patch to improve how the suit looks and how it blends with the game’s broader visual presentation.

Update v1.005.001 improves the Fresh Start suit

The latest change is update 1.005.001, which focuses primarily on enhancements to the Fresh Start costume. Insomniac said the improvements are based on player feedback, and the update is now live. The move comes after disappointment from parts of the community following the suit’s original introduction, with players saying it didn’t appear as good as it should have.

With the new patch deployed, early reactions to the announcement indicate the result is landing better. Players in the comments reportedly say the suit now looks “much better” and that Insomniac’s work deserves more praise after the fix.
