LEGO and Nintendo have officially unveiled their next adult build based on one of the most recognizable Donkey Kong arcade moments. After a period of leaks, the Donkey Kong Arcade set is now up for pre-order, bringing a playable-style centerpiece and retro display value to living rooms and gaming spaces.

The LEGO Donkey Kong Arcade set is priced at $199.99 in the US and £149.99 in the UK, with pre-orders currently live on LEGO’s website. Release is set for 1 August 2026. The build includes 1,371 pieces (matching the set’s official piece count), and it’s listed as set number 72051.

Designed around the classic arcade action, the model includes minifigure characters “Jumpman, Donkey Kong and Lady.” LEGO also highlights an interactive mechanism intended to circulate barrels in a continuous loop. The concept is built around recreating the familiar barrel-launching and leap-over sequence: users pull a lever to release a barrel at a time, then use a joystick control to move Jumpman and press a button to make him leap over the barrels.

In addition to the interactive elements, the set is positioned as a tribute to the original arcade cabinet game, featuring themed decorative details including scaffold, ladder, and hammer elements. LEGO also references support via the LEGO Builder app for zooming and rotating the model in 3D, tracking progress, and following step-by-step instructions.

To support the launch, LEGO and Nintendo have also brought in Steve Wiebe, described as a legendary Donkey Kong player, to promote the set in a new commercial.
