Vedat Muriqi Scores Four as Fenerbahce Hammer Eyupspor 8-0
Fenerbahce crushed Eyupspor 8-0 at the Sukru Saracoglu, with Vedat Muriqi scoring four times as Ismail Kartal’s side turned a four-goal half-time lead into a rout.
Muriqi leads eight-goal demolition
The hosts struck early and never allowed Eyupspor to recover. Muriqi opened the scoring in the seventh minute from Kerem Akturkoglu’s assist, then added goals in the 21st, 47th and 55th minutes.
Irfan Can Kahveci also delivered a decisive first-half display, credited with two goals at 38 minutes and 45+1, while Mason Greenwood completed the scoring with the fifth and eighth goals.

Kartal’s press overwhelms Eyupspor
Kartal deployed a high-intensity 4-2-3-1 that repeatedly trapped Eyupspor’s 4-1-4-1 shape. Fenerbahce pushed their defensive line high, pressed immediately after losing the ball and kept the visitors pinned back.
The home side created overloads out wide before attacking the penalty area with cut-backs. Their rotating front players repeatedly pulled Eyupspor’s defence apart, with Greenwood able to move inside as Nelson Semedo provided width down the right.

Clean sheet secured as defence controls match
Fenerbahce’s Brazilian goalkeeper had little sustained work but made six saves, mostly from distance, to preserve the shutout. His distribution helped the hosts restart attacks quickly.
Milan Skriniar marshalled the high line for 70 minutes, dominating in the air and stepping into midfield to break Eyupspor’s first pressure. Nathan Ake intercepted before the visitors could feed their forwards and used his left foot to move play forward cleanly.
Semedo’s pace shut down the limited counter-attacking opportunities available to Eyupspor. Brown balanced his defensive work with forward runs, staying on until the 85th minute after setting up Muriqi’s third goal.
Midfield changes keep Fenerbahce on front foot
N’Golo Kante was withdrawn at half-time after a first-half shift built on ball recoveries and control in central areas. His replacement kept the pressure high and prevented any drop in Fenerbahce’s defensive transition.
Aydin replaced Akturkoglu in the 70th minute and made an immediate contribution, supplying Greenwood for the final goal. Muriqi left the pitch in the 69th minute, with his replacement occupying Eyupspor’s tiring centre-backs despite not adding to the score.
Skriniar was also taken off for the final 20 minutes, while Brown’s late replacement had little time to influence the match. Fenerbahce saw out the closing stages without further concern as Kartal’s side completed a one-sided victory.
