Valve has released a new Counter-Strike 2 update after roughly a week and a half, focusing mainly on gameplay changes tied to the bomb while also rolling in map and menu improvements. The update includes a bomb damage preview feature, adjusts how the bomb explosion interacts with certain utility effects, and adds additional workshop-related navigation for players on Steam in China.

What’s new in the latest CS2 update

  1. Bomb damage preview now appears when the bomb becomes audible. Players can now see bomb damage information starting at the point when the device is no longer silent and can be heard.

  2. Bomb explosions now affect smoke grenade clouds and Molotov/incendiary cocktails. The blast will interact with these utility effects, changing how late-round utility plays out during detonations.

  3. Workshop map content updated to the latest versions. Multiple community workshop maps have been refreshed to their newest available revisions.

  4. Additional workshop sections added to CS2 menus on Steam in China. A new section for workshop maps has been included in the game’s menu.

  5. Community server list shortcut added on Steam in China. The update also introduces a shortcut that takes players directly to the community servers list from the in-game menu.
