AC Milan to Open Adrien Rabiot Extension Talks Until 2030
AC Milan are preparing to open talks aimed at extending Adrien Rabiot’s contract through at least 2030, with owner Gerry Cardinale set to oversee the process on his return to the city in October.
What we know
- Rabiot, who turns 32 in April, has made clear he wants to stay: “I have not considered leaving Milan. I’m happy here.”
- The France midfielder joined Milan from Marseille for €7 million on 1 September 2025, after Max Allegri helped drive the move.
- His Marseille exit followed a confrontation with Jonathan Rowe, after which Roberto De Zerbi removed both players from his plans. Rabiot had initially joined Marseille as a free agent after departing Juventus.
- Rabiot missed only seven Serie A games through injury or suspension in his first Milan campaign. He started each of the other 29 league matches and completed every one.
- After an extended break agreed with Ruben Amorim, he returned this season with a goal and an assist as a substitute against Torino, then started games against Juventus, Lazio and Lecce.
- His flexibility remains central to Milan’s plans. He has been used at the base of midfield, as a deeper distributor and further forward behind the striker. He also scored against Torino and Lecce.
Next step: Cardinale to begin renewal talks
Cardinale is expected to launch negotiations within the next two to three weeks. The proposed length and salary package have not yet been settled, but Milan want Rabiot tied down for the long term.
His mother and representative, Veronique Rabiot, will handle the discussions. Milan see the midfielder as a key figure for the coming years and believe an agreement can keep him at San Siro for the rest of his elite career.
