Alan Mozo Targets Campeones Cup Glory as Cruz Azul Face Inter Miami
Cruz Azul right-back Mozo has set his sights on lifting the 2026 Campeones Cup when the Liga MX champions meet Inter Miami in Florida on Wednesday.
The Mexican side travel to Nu Stadium for the annual showdown between the reigning champions of Liga MX and MLS, with Miami holding home advantage as the MLS representative.
Mozo targets first international silverware
Mozo said the match represents a major opportunity for Cruz Azul to add continental recognition to their Clausura 2026 title.
He said his main objective is to win the Campeones Cup, describing it as a chance to claim an international trophy for the club.
The defender has become an important figure in Huiqui’s back line since arriving at Cruz Azul. He also explained that he immediately wanted the move when the possibility of joining the reigning Mexican champions was raised.
Mozo said he felt meant to be at the club and is prepared to give everything alongside his new team-mates and the club’s leadership.
