Disney Dreamlight Valley Pixel Perfect: Send Villagers to Collect Items
The Pixel Perfect update in Disney Dreamlight Valley added a powerful new way to use your villagers. With the right friendship level, you can ask companions to go out and collect specific items you need—then come back the next day with what you requested.

- You can send a villager by chatting with them and choosing: “Can you help me find something?”
- You must have level seven friendship or better with the villager.
- There’s no limit on how many villagers you can assign at once.
- Each villager can only bring back a limited number of the items you request (shown in the selection menu).
- What they collect depends on their assigned role (mining, gardening, fishing, foraging, digging, snippet catching, or timebending).
How to send villagers to collect items
To start, talk to the villager you want to use and look for the dialogue option labeled “Can you help me find something?”. This feature is tied to friendship progress, so you can’t use it until you’ve reached at least level seven with that villager.
After you’ve found the villager, approach and interact with them to open the available dialogue choices. Among the list, the “Can you help me find something?” option sits near the bottom, so you may need to scroll to find it.
Once selected, a large menu appears where you can pick exactly which item you want the villager to gather. After placing the request, you’ll need to wait—villagers take a full day to complete the task—so check back on the following day to receive the items.
Which villagers can collect items for you
Any villager you’ve reached level seven friendship or higher with can be asked to collect items for you. Over time, you can send essentially anyone to do this once they meet the friendship requirement.
How many villagers can you send at once
There’s no cap on the number of villagers you can assign to item collection. If you’ve built up a full roster of companions to level seven friendship or more, you can request item runs from everyone.
The practical limitation isn’t the number of villagers—it’s how many of a specific item each one can bring back. When you choose an item in the request menu, the game shows a potential quantity range, and the rarer or harder an item is to obtain, the lower that range tends to be.
For the rarest spawns, the maximum can be as low as one, so it’s worth weighing whether the request is likely to be productive before using multiple villagers for that same item.
What items villagers can collect
Villagers can only be sent to collect items that match the role you assigned them. In general, these are the same kinds of items they can drop extra of during hangout sessions, though the exact results won’t always be identical.
- Mining specialists: gems and minerals.
- Gardening specialists: crops you can grow.
- Fishing specialists: fish and seafood.
- Foraging specialists: items from trees and bushes, wood, flowers, and wild-growing ingredients.
- Digging specialists: stone, pebbles, clay, and other diggable items.
- Snippet Catching specialists: Snippets.
- Timebending specialists: Timebending staples such as Ancient Gears and Glimmer.
