Endrick Open to January Loan as Roma and AC Milan Monitor Real Madrid Star
Endrick is prepared to consider a January loan if his Real Madrid minutes do not improve, with Roma and AC Milan tracking the Brazilian forward ahead of the next window.
The 20-year-old has made only one appearance in Madrid’s opening eight matches under Jose Mourinho, coming on for four minutes against Elche. He missed the first four games after a pre-season injury and has otherwise been left on the bench.
Endrick pushed down Madrid’s attacking pecking order
Kylian Mbappe, Vinicius Jr, Yan Diomande, Arda Guler, Brahim Diaz and new signing Carlos Espi are all ahead of Endrick in a crowded forward unit. Madrid still regard him as a major long-term asset, however, after committing €35 million in guaranteed money and a possible €25 million more in add-ons when they secured his deal in 2022.
Once wages, taxes and other costs are included, the club’s overall investment has risen beyond €80 million. His development is therefore a key issue for the Madrid hierarchy.
- Roma and AC Milan both explored a move for Endrick during the summer.
- Roma, currently leading Serie A, had been the player’s preferred destination.
- A temporary switch was close before Mourinho spoke directly to the striker and urged him to stay.
- Endrick accepted the manager’s assurance that he would have a role this season and chose to compete for his place.
Brazil concern as January approaches
With that expected role yet to materialise, Endrick will review his position before the January market opens. A loan remains a serious option if he continues to receive limited opportunities.
Brazil coach Carlo Ancelotti has already raised concern over the lack of game time available to young South American players at leading European clubs. He believes Endrick and Chelsea prospect Estevao require regular football to keep progressing, while insisting the Madrid attacker can become an important player for Brazil.
Endrick is ready to take any opening that comes his way at the Bernabeu. Mbappe’s recent injury concern while away on international duty has underlined how quickly Mourinho’s attacking plans can change.
What happens next
Madrid’s selection decisions between now and January will determine whether Endrick stays or seeks another short-term exit. He has already shown what regular football can bring: during a successful Lyon loan earlier in 2026, he produced eight goals and eight assists across 21 matches. Roma and Milan could return should the forward become available again.
