Genoa under pressure after Como defeat
Genoa have yet to collect a league point, losing each of their first three matches while scoring twice and allowing six goals. Their latest setback was a 4-1 defeat at home to Como last Friday.
Milutin Osmajic briefly put Genoa ahead on his first Serie A start, but Como turned the match around through Martin Baturina, Assane Diao’s double and Nico Paz. Earlier league losses came against Lazio, 1-0, and Napoli, 2-0.
De Rossi’s only victory in the last five matches was a 4-1 Coppa Italia win over Ascoli. His team are still looking for their first league clean sheet of the campaign.
Genoa will be without injured trio Joi Xheto Nuredini, Lorenzo Venturino and Elias Havel, while there are no suspension concerns. Justin Bijlow is expected in goal, protected by Leo Oestigard, Johan Vasquez and Alessandro Marcandalli. Osmajic could again start up front with Lorenzo Colombo.
Raimondo firing promoted Frosinone forward
Frosinone arrive in seventh place after taking six points from three Serie A outings. Massimiliano Alvini’s newly promoted team beat Venezia 3-2 on Sunday, following an impressive 3-0 away win at Fiorentina. Their only league defeat came against Juventus in the opening round.
Antonio Raimondo scored twice against Venezia and now has four league goals in three appearances. Only Donyell Malen has scored more so far, while Raimondo’s early form has prompted discussion of a first senior Italy call-up under Roberto Mancini.
Frosinone have scored nine times and conceded five across their past five competitive fixtures. Alvini has a fully available squad, with no reported injuries or bans.
Raimondo is set to lead the visitors’ attack, with Seydou Fini and Giorgi Kvernadze in support. Romano Schmid, Patrizio Masini and Giacomo Calò are expected to make up the midfield.

Genoa need a result to halt their early slide and climb from 19th place. Frosinone can strengthen their unexpected start and remain among Serie A’s early front-runners with another victory.
