Goncalo Ramos struck Portugal’s decisive goal in Oslo after replacing Cristiano Ronaldo in the starting line-up, firing Roberto Jesus’ side to a 2-1 Nations League win over Norway.
The AC Milan striker capitalised on a mistake from Norway goalkeeper Orjan Nyland early in the second half, restoring Portugal’s lead after Erling Haaland had levelled the contest. Ramos makes his case after Ronaldo benching

“Every opportunity matters,” Ramos said. “When I am selected, I have to show what I can bring and help the team. This showed my work and what I offer on the pitch, not only goals.”
He also highlighted the significance of winning in Norway, calling it a difficult away assignment and insisting Portugal are adapting well to Jesus’ ideas.
“Winning is always the priority,” he said. “We have started well, we are working together and understanding the manager’s approach. We need to keep improving, but our aim is to win every match.”
