Inter’s Federico Chiesa Move Collapsed After Luis Henrique Exit Failed
Inter explored a summer move for Liverpool winger Federico Chiesa, but the proposed deal collapsed when Roma did not submit an offer for Luis Henrique before the transfer deadline.
Inter plan depended on Henrique exit
The Serie A club had advanced internal talks over bringing the 28-year-old Italy international back to Italy as a lower-cost attacking signing. Chiesa had been earmarked as the player to replace Henrique in Inter’s forward options.

The winger has remained determined to establish himself at Liverpool despite being pushed out of the immediate first-team picture. That stance has so far brought no breakthrough while Liverpool continue to compete in domestic and European competition.
Champions League omission sharpens January focus
Liverpool’s decision to leave Chiesa out of their Champions League squad has further underlined his current position. The omission suggests he is not part of the club’s short-term plans.
A January transfer window exit now looks the clearest route for Chiesa to restart his career. Any move will depend on whether he is prepared to reconsider his wish to remain in the Premier League and accept that a Liverpool departure is necessary.
