League Classic ADC Tier List: Best Bot Laners for the 2009–2012 Meta
League Classic is bringing players back to the 2009–2012 era of League of Legends, including older champion kits, the original map, and item mechanics that many players haven’t seen in years. With bot lane still anchored by ADCs paired with supports for protection and engage, this ruleset is already shaping which marksmen can best survive poke, scale into damage, and capitalize on coordinated fights.
League Classic bot lane meta: mobility is a standout advantage
At launch, the roster includes just 60 League Classic champions, with 9 of them being ADCs. In that smaller pool, marksmen with dashes and other mobility tools are drawing particular attention because they can dodge early pressure and turn support/jungle openings into decisive trades.
- League Classic follows a cadence of patches every two weeks, so bot lane matchups and power rankings are expected to shift over time.
- New ADCs are planned to be added later, including Caitlyn and Graves.
Current high-tier ADCs (S and A)
Vayne (S Tier)
- Difficulty: High
- Classic change: Final Hour (R) can’t be extended.
Vayne is being singled out because her mobility is rare among ADCs in Classic. With fewer enemy champions able to match her movement options, she can more reliably disengage or chase after bot lane and mid-map plays. The current expectation is that even players who are “not perfect” are finding strong results in this version.
Ezreal (S Tier)
- Difficulty: Medium
- Classic changes:
- Essence Flux (W) passes through all units, dealing damage to enemies and granting allies attack speed.
- Trueshot Barrage (R) deals less damage per enemy hit.
Ezreal’s Arcane Shift helps him avoid three common engage supports—Leona, Blitzcrank, and Alistar—by creating distance when they start fights. He can also follow ally initiations, and his kit can allow full combo damage into targets affected by Morgana’s Q. In League Classic, he also benefits from Trinity Force providing crit, boosting DPS via spell casting plus critical auto attacks.
Ashe (A Tier)
- Difficulty: Medium
- Classic changes:
- Frost Shot (Q) toggles slowing basic attacks.
- Focus (P) builds up critical strikes out of combat.
- Hawkshot (E) grants bonus gold on kill.
Ashe remains a solid pick due to her crowd control, giving her more ability to create plays rather than simply react. The main execution point in Classic is learning when to toggle Q on and off to apply the slow effectively.
Tristana (A Tier)
- Difficulty: Medium
- Classic change: Explosive Shot (E) is a damage-over-time ability.
With Classic lacking Samira, Tristana is positioned as one of the best ADC options for engaging. Her kit is described as largely unchanged, which makes her especially strong alongside Leona. An aggressive Tristana can also snowball fights using Rocket Jump resets.
Corki (A Tier)
- Difficulty: Medium
- Classic change: Phosphorus Bomb (Q) is an instant explosion.
Because Classic generally features less mobility, Corki’s skillshots are described as easier to land. His Q instantly detonating helps with that consistency. The item environment in League Classic also brings back Trinity Force critical strike chance, enabling spell casting alongside critical auto attacks. While not as widely played as Vayne or Ezreal, Corki is noted for having one of the higher win rates among ADCs.
Miss Fortune (A Tier)
- Difficulty: Low
- Classic changes:
- Strut (P) moved from W.
- Impure Shots (W) passive deals magic damage per hit; the active increases attack speed and applies grievous wounds.
Miss Fortune is described as one of the easiest ADCs to play in League Classic. Fewer champions are able to dash out of her ultimate, enabling strong combos with Leona, Amumu, and Morgana. She’s still vulnerable to engage, and without lethality items, the article notes she has less build diversity.
Mid-tier picks (B and C): where they struggle in Classic
Sivir (B Tier)
- Difficulty: Medium
- Classic changes:
- Ricochet (W) toggles bouncing attacks randomly.
- Spell Shield (E) grants mana instead of health when triggered.
Sivir is reported to have a high win rate of about 55% at League Classic’s launch, though with fewer games than many other bot laners, making the sample smaller than most. The slower pacing is presented as an advantage for farming toward full crit item sets. Her E’s mana gain is also framed as more valuable in older League conditions with lower mana pools and regeneration.
Twitch (B Tier)
- Difficulty: Medium
- Classic changes:
- Deliberating Poison (W) is an AoE spell around Twitch.
- Ambush (Q) can last up to 50 seconds.
- Expunge (E) removes poison stacks on enemies.
Even though Twitch’s Q duration in Classic can last up to 50 seconds, the write-up argues it often doesn’t help in real fights because spending that long away from farming or combat isn’t ideal. It also calls the poison-stack removal on his E a downgrade, contributing to his lack of power in this ruleset.
Kog’Maw (C Tier)
- Difficulty: Medium
- Classic change: Caustic Spittle (Q) is point-and-click.
Kog’Maw is described as one of the least picked ADCs in League Classic. Players who do choose him are said to be struggling to find success. The article notes that while Q is point-and-click rather than a skillshot, it doesn’t necessarily translate into better damage, and it also leaves him with weaker wave clear and reduced area damage compared with what you’d want in bot lane.
