A new community-made expansion for The Witcher 3 is in development, promising a full new adventure with fresh locations, side quests, and Gwent content—set to arrive well before the game’s next official DLC. The project, titled Revenge of Ofir, is planned for 2027 and is currently without a specific release date.

Revenge of Ofir puts Geralt back in Ofir

Revenge of Ofir will return players to Geralt of Rivia, this time in Ofir, introducing a new story designed to expand the game beyond what official updates have offered so far. The expansion is built as a complete experience rather than a small add-on, with new enemies, new areas to explore, and multiple decisions that shape the journey.

The narrative takes place after Blood and Wine. At this point, Geralt is retired and living quietly in Corvo Bianco—until events force him to travel to Ofir after the death of the heir to the throne, setting the expansion’s plot in motion.

More than quests: locations, monsters, choices, and Gwent

While the expansion includes new secondary missions, the project also aims to deliver broader gameplay content. Developers say it will feature additional locations, monsters to fight, and branching choices across the story to help it feel integrated with The Witcher 3’s established world.

On top of that, the expansion will also include new content for Gwent, offering something additional for players who continue to revisit CD Projekt’s card game mode.

Polish voice acting planned without AI voice imitation

One of the more notable details is the audio plan. The project will include full dubbing in Polish, and Jacek Rozenek—the voice actor for Geralt in the game’s Polish version—is set to reprise the role. The team also states it will not use artificial intelligence to imitate voices.

2027 target, playable previews before launch

Revenge of Ofir is scheduled for 2027, but no exact release date has been confirmed. Ahead of launch, some content creators will be able to test an early build and share what’s being developed.

For players still working through The Witcher 3, the timing could be especially interesting given that CD Projekt RED’s next official expansion, Songs of the Past, is still waiting for further details. If the community expansion continues to progress as planned, it may become the next reason to return to Geralt’s world—potentially sooner than the next official DLC.
