Olise gave a characteristically understated assessment after the final whistle. Asked whether Bayern must show greater patience against teams defending deep, the France international said the players keep using the same style and accept whatever follows.
He also played down the idea of a major half-time intervention from Kompany. The manager’s instruction, Olise said, was simply to continue as Bayern had been playing because opportunities would arrive once Bodo/Glimt began to tire.
The winger added that Bayern’s attacking understanding is improving, saying the squad know each other’s runs and how to combine. When that connection clicks, he said, the team are happy.
