PlayVS is bringing a dedicated esports venue to the 2026 National Jamboree, partnering with Scouting America to install the PlayVS Arena at Summit Bechtel Reserve in Glen Jean, West Virginia, running July 22–31. The program is designed to give Scouts of all skill levels a hands-on look at organized gaming—blending casual play, VR experiences, and competitive formats with an emphasis on teamwork and sportsmanship.

PlayVS Arena programming for the full 10-day event

The PlayVS Arena will operate throughout the ten-day Jamboree with activities that rotate continuously, including leaderboard challenges, competitive tournaments, and casual sessions. The attraction lineup is built around participation rather than “win at all costs,” with programming centered on sportsmanship, teamwork, and digital citizenship.

Setups inside the arena include a mobile gaming trailer outfitted with virtual reality experiences, multiple gaming stations for in-person play, and a professional racing simulator as part of the broader attraction mix.

Why the partnership matters for scholastic esports

Scouting America—serving youth ages five to 20—runs the National Jamboree as its flagship gathering. PlayVS’ involvement aligns with its broader focus on bringing esports into structured, education-aligned settings. By placing a gaming hub directly inside the Jamboree grounds, the platform can introduce organized esports to a large youth audience that may not encounter it through school-based leagues.

PlayVS continues expanding beyond school leagues

The Jamboree activation is the latest step in PlayVS’ wider push to broaden scholastic esports’ reach. In recent months, the company has also been involved in:

  • A partnership with media group Urban One to launch the Power4+ HBCU Esports League, a national collegiate competition for historically Black colleges and universities.
  • A collaboration with the Army National Guard focused on connecting high school esports participants with military career pathways.
  • The acquisition of LeagueSpot, a platform used to organize esports leagues and tournaments globally.

Together, these efforts reflect PlayVS’ strategy of making structured competitive gaming a more mainstream part of youth and education life.

What comes next

The PlayVS Arena is already running during the National Jamboree and continues through July 31. With the Power4+ HBCU Esports League also recently announced, more information on that competition’s format and schedule is expected in the months ahead.
