Tiaan „T.c” Coertzen has officially clarified his esports contract status, stating that he is no longer tied to Passion UA as of June. The African coach, who has been leading teams since last year, says he is currently a free agent and open to new coaching opportunities—after Passion UA moved on from its CS2 roster earlier this year.

Coertzen addressed the situation via his X (formerly Twitter) profile, confirming that he has not been under contract with Passion UA since June. In his public statement, he described himself as a free agent and said he is open to opportunities.

He also referenced his coaching timeline with the organization: he took charge on 4 April of the previous year, after a month of inactivity following his separation from Complexity Gaming.

With Coertzen stating he is no longer contracted, his availability changes immediately for teams searching for a head coach or analyst/coach role. His message frames this as a direct resolution to “any confusion” around his employment status.

Where it leaves Passion UA and its CS2 plans

Passion UA is not continuing in Counter-Strike 2 competition. The organization parted ways with its entire roster on 22 July.

Before that end point, the team’s last reported competitive appearances included Intel Extreme Masters Atlanta. At the event in the United States, Passion UA finished 13-16th after losses to Natus Vincere (0-2) and SINNERS (1-2). Earlier, the organization also fell in closed qualifiers for Stake Ranked Episode 2, placing 9-16th after a defeat to FOKUS, which included Jakub “kubena” Gurczyński.

Under Coertzen’s tenure, Passion UA reached notable results as well—his run included a 9-11th place finish at StarLadder Major in Budapest, where the team narrowly missed the playoffs with a 2-3 record.
