Bayern Munich are weighing up a future move for Manchester City striker Erling Haaland, with the Bundesliga champions reportedly viewing him as a possible long-term successor to Harry Kane.
Bayern planning beyond Kane
Haaland remains tied to Manchester City on a contract running for another eight years, but Bayern are said to be monitoring the prospect of a move once Kane’s situation becomes clearer.
The German club want Kane, 26, to stay at the Allianz Arena for two more years before deciding whether to pursue Haaland. Bayern manager Vincent Kompany is also reported to be interested in Nottingham Forest playmaker Morgan Gibbs-White, with a potential plan to pair the England international with Kane.
Liverpool, meanwhile, are not considering an exit for Florian Wirtz despite reported Bayern interest in the attacking midfielder.
Premier League clubs track left-back options
Manchester United have added Crystal Palace defender Tyrick Mitchell to their list of potential Luke Shaw successors. Newcastle United’s Lewis Hall remains another option under consideration.
Mitchell, 27, entered the final year of his Palace deal during the summer. Liverpool are also interested, while Chelsea are watching closely amid the prospect that the left-back could become available without a transfer fee.
