Nicolo Tresoldi to decide between Germany and Italy after 2027 U21 Euros
Germany U21 forward Nicolo Tresoldi has delayed his senior international decision until after the 2027 European Under-21 Championship, keeping both Germany and Italy in contention.

- The 22-year-old intends to stay with Antonio Di Salvo’s Germany U21 group through the 2027 finals before deciding which senior side to represent.
- Tresoldi said his attachment to Germany and Italy is evenly balanced. He was born in Sardinia, spent his early years in Italy and moved to Germany aged 13.
- Germany coach Jürgen Klopp has spoken personally with the striker. Tresoldi said Klopp understood the difficult choice and left the route to the senior squad open.
- Italy boss Roberto Mancini has also made contact. Tresoldi told him the same thing: no final commitment will be made yet.
- The forward is also eligible for Argentina through his mother, although the current decision is between Germany and Italy.
