Japan’s latest expanded software sales chart for the week of July 20, 2026 highlights a new breakout at the top, alongside strong ongoing performances from long-running Nintendo Switch titles. Multiple games also appear in “Nintendo Switch 2 Edition” or “NS2” formats, showing continued momentum for the newer platform lineup.

Top sellers and new entries

• Splatoon Raiders (NS2) is the week’s #1 with 474,684 units, marked as NEW.
• Rhythm Heaven Groove (NSW) places #2 with 78,355 units, bringing its total to 674,592.
• Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream (NSW) sits at #3 with 23,468 units and a total of 1,500,025.
• Other NEW entries include:
  • Yog-Sothoth’s Yard (NS2): 2,982 units
  • The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten: Memorial Vacation (NSW): 2,879 units

Notable Nintendo Switch and PS5 performances

• Minecraft (NSW) remains a major seller at #8 with 5,106 units and a total of 4,245,173.
• Splatoon 3 (NSW) ranks #11 with 3,020 units and a total of 4,560,720.
• Super Smash Bros. Ultimate (NSW) is at #16 with 2,446 units and a total of 5,934,080.
• Animal Crossing: New Horizons (NSW) appears at #17 with 2,361 units and a total of 8,458,979.
• Mario Kart 8 Deluxe (NSW) lands at #19 with 2,311 units and a total of 6,592,242.
• Super Mario Odyssey (NSW) is #30 with 1,595 units and a total of 2,629,833.
• Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced (PS5) is the chart’s #25 title on PlayStation 5 with 1,688 units and a total of 22,214.
• eBaseball: Pro Spirit 2026 (PS5) is #10 with 3,915 units and a total of 24,576.
• Kyoto Xanadu appears twice: 2,451 units for the NSW version at #15 and 1,674 units for the PS5 version at #26.
