Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3 is rolling out “Hot Bat Summer,” a DC-themed wave that brings new gear, encounters, and Spider-style collectibles—plus a new set of Sprites. The headline addition is the Batman Sprite, which players are already trying to track down, including a Mythic base version that many will chase during the limited-time event.

Fastest route to the Batman Sprite: challenge Catwoman

The most direct method to obtain the base Batman Sprite is to challenge the Catwoman NPC. Catwoman is located near the beach to the south of Wonkeeland and is passive until the moment you engage her. Once challenged, she becomes hostile, and defeating her gives a high chance to drop the base Batman Sprite for collection.

Other ways to get it (and why they feel harder)

Beyond Catwoman, the Batman Sprite can also appear through several other systems, but some depend on RNG. Because the Batman Sprite is Mythic, players should expect lower consistency when farming loot sources rather than a targeted NPC fight.

After you secure any Batman Sprite variant, the guidance given is to use a Portable Extractor to store it safely. Since the item is relatively rare outside the Catwoman method, risking it at an Extraction Point is framed as not worth the potential loss.

How the Batman Sprite changes gameplay

Mechanically, the Batman Sprite is built for mobility. When equipped, it lets players jump and then deploy the Bat Cape—similar in function to the Batman Grapnel Gun Mythic. Each use includes a short cooldown, so it’s not an unlimited movement button, but it does create another route for repositioning around the map.
